Press Release 18 June Hi-tech agriculture essential to address global food security challenge
Strategies to reduce food waste, change dietary habits and improve the infrastructure for global food distribution have a key role to play, but ultimately our ability to feed a rapidly increasing world population depends on producing significantly more food, on less land and using fewer natural resources. That was the key message delivered earlier this week by Dominic Dyer, at a seminar organised by the Westminster Food and Nutrition Forum
Press Release Industry leaders call on UK Government to prevent ‘crop protection crunch’
The coalition Government has been urged by farming industry leaders to recognise the strategic importance of crop protection within the UK farming and food supply chain. Speaking at Cereals event in Cambridgeshire, CPA chief executive Dominic Dyer highlighted the vital role of modern crop protection products in preventing crop losses of 30-40% by protecting crop yields against weed competition and damage caused by pests and diseases.
